vielen Dank fuer die helfenden Haende, die unsere Zeit im Guesthouse einzigartig und unvergesslich machten.
Zahlreich Puzzleteile wie z.B. der herzliche Empfang, das Zimmer mit Wohlfuehlatmosphaere, das delikate Fruehstueck, die taegliche Deko-Ueberraschung, der unvergleichbare Ausblick, die Gespraeche ueber Land und Leute haben uns die Gastfreundschaft erleben lassen, an die wir lange und gerne zurueckdenken weden...
...Ihr habt es verstanden, anstelle vieler Fragezeichen, die am Anfang einer solchen Reise stehen, Ausrufezeichen zu setzen!

Dear Barry and Johannes,
Thank you for 5 wonderful days in your guest house. We have stayed in many places before, but rarely felt so much ‘at home’ as we did at Summerplace. Excellent long breakfasts, Johannes’ wonderful evening meals, cosy and comfortable surroundings, a good location, interesting conversations around the dining table or by the fireplace, and above all, your great hospitality meant that we came back from our first stay in Madeira with great memories despite the disappointing weather. We will be back!

……,……….es gibt coq au vin mit hausgemachten Semmelknödeln, ein Glas Rotwein, einen stilvoll gedeckten Tisch, Abendstimmung dazu und den Zauber der Erinnerung an eine wundervolle Woche bei euch.
Trotz des perfekt inszenierten Versuches an die erlebte Behaglichkeit und eure Kochkunst anzuknüpfen fehlt hier einfach dieses wundervolle Madeira-feeling.
Das was bleibt, ist Inspiration und getankte Energie für lange Zeit danach.
Mit Fernweh sind wir gekommen und mit Heimweh nach Madeira wieder gegangen.
